Dental Assistants

Jolita is from Lithuania, and speaks four languages (Lithuanian, Russian, Polish, and English). She enjoys traveling, skiing, and hiking. She loves spending time with Milana, her beautiful baby girl.		Liza is a graduate of De La Salle Institute and will soon be attending college. In her spare time, she enjoys exercising, spending time with her family and friends, and traveling.
Jasmin is currently working on her Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences and plans to pursue a career in dentistry. When she is not studying, she spends her free time exercising and watching movies. Jasmin enjoys cooking, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. She is also fluent in Spanish.		Karen has been working at Children's Dental World for over ten years. When she is not busy with school, she likes to play volleyball and spend time with her nephews. Karen is also the office manager for the Des Plaines location.

Office Management

Donna has been working at the dental office for seven years as the office receptionist. In the summer months, she travels to her summer home in Indiana where she relaxes with family and friends. She is an avid volleyball player and a mother of two.

Linda works as the office receptionist/manager. She enjoys exercising and shopping. She also likes to travel and try new foods. Linda keeps busy with her three college aged children.

About Dr. Shikha Bubna
DDS, Certified, American Board of Pediatric Dentistry

Dr. Shikha Bubna is a board-certified pediatric dentist and has been practicing for several years. She grew up in the Bay Area of Northern California, and completed a 6-year accelerated dental program at University of the Pacific, School of Dentistry. After finishing dental school, she completed a pediatric dental residency at Lutheran Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY. While in dental school, it was always her dream to one day move to the Windy City, so after residency she moved to downtown Chicago to start practicing Pediatric Dentistry.

Dr. Bubna joined Children’s Dental World in the fall of 2009 and enjoys working in an office where she can truly make children feel at home. With every visit, a child chooses a movie of his/her choice, and leaves with prizes and balloons - which helps children look forward to their next visit at the dentist. Dr. Bubna enjoys spending time with each child, to address any questions or to alleviate any fears he/she may have. She believes that the prevention of dental disease must start at an early age, and taking the time to teach patients how to care for their teeth leads to good habits starting at a young age. Dr. Bubna strives to individually accommodate her communication and care to each patient, based on the child’s emotional, developmental, and chronological age.

Dr. Sam grew up in Michigan and spent most of his youth in the suburbs of Detroit. He attended Kalamazoo College for his undergraduate studies and eventually found his way to Chicago for dental school. During his 4 years in training at the Northwestern University Dental School, Dr. Sam fell in love with the Windy City. Although his pediatric residency required him to move to Ohio to continue his training at the Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center, upon completion, Dr. Sam came right back to where his dental journey started. He joined his current practice in 2002 and immediately felt at home.

Since his return to Chicago, Dr. Sam has had wonderful opportunities to work with children in settings outside of the office. Through Lakeview Church, Dr. Sam was able to practice dentistry overseas in Belize (2002) and Nicaragua (2004 and 2005), helping the poor and underprivileged with their critical dental needs. He also volunteered time at the Lawndale Christian Health Center to serve the dental needs of the children in the surrounding communities. In addition, Dr. Sam enjoys working as an associate clinical professor in the pediatric dental department at the University of Illinois at Chicago.

Dr. Sam is happily married and enjoys spending time with his wife, Karen, son, Christian and daughter, Karis. He is also a dedicated sports fan—though he loves Chicago, he cannot give up his loyalty to his beloved Detroit sports teams. Dr. Sam also enjoys playing volleyball and basketball, eating Indian food, and watching sports on television.
